Volunteerism
Giving Back
Many of our members and residents take advantage of the many opportunities to give service to the common good of our society. There are many non-profits in Hobe Sound, Stuart, and the surrounding areas that are anxious for interested and committed individuals.
THE WOMEN'S CLUB OF THE RETREAT
Annually the Women’s Club holds a major fundraiser benefitting a different local charity each year.
HOUSE OF HOPE
The Women’s Club of the Retreat sponsors an ongoing food collection drive: just bring non-perishable food items to the drop-off container in our mailroom. Stu and Pam Levy have volunteered to pick up the items and they deliver items to the House of Hope to help Martin County people in need. This project was started by Dotti and George Wurster. Hugh thanks to all our volunteers and contributors!!
As of November 2017, the Retreat has collected and donated over 34,097 pounds of food ! (40,114 Meals! House of Hope Stuart
